Dr. Claire Berryman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology at Florida State University. She received her B.S. and Ph.D. from Penn State University and her R.D. from the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Her post-doctoral training was in the Military Nutrition Division at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, Massachusetts. Dr. Berryman’s lab at Florida State uses nutritional and environmental interventions to alter body composition, energy balance, and macronutrient metabolism for the prevention and treatment of chronic metabolic diseases. She is actively involved in the American Society for Nutrition and is the Past Chair of the Energy and Macronutrient Metabolism Research Interest Section.
